Hi all
I'm having dramas getting my bike to start its been fine for the last 3 weeks. The other day I was out on it all good I then stopped for a few hours and the bike wouldn't start on the button so kicked it over eventually and went home. The next day went to go out and it won't start it turns over but won't start and I can't get it to kick over on the kick start. Has anyone got and ideas what's going on with it.

I see you've got the 6 Days 2015 so check the engine cut-off switch - loads of us have had problems with the kill switch getting partially stuck in. Give it a wiggle and pull it out with your fingers then try again. It doesn't need to move much
Other than that have you had the tank off? Even if not check that the quick disconnect between tank and throttle body is firmly clicked together.
When I had my 350 I was trying to start it for ages, button start, bump start, kick start - I pushed the fuel quick-connect together and 'brmmmm...' fired right up
Good luck and let us know what it was

As above, Premier Bikes replaced my cut off switch as it was doing exactly what you describe. It was driving me mad until I realised what it was. I sprayed some WD40 in there and that seemed to help, got it changed under warranty but I'm half expecting it to happen again in which case I'll change it for something different; perhaps the standard switchgear.

looking at the parts fiche it shows the same switch going back to at least 2006, can somebody explain or put a picture up of the new switch. mine seems to have the same switch that my 200 had.

Only the Six Days has the crap switch that sticks in.
I replaced mine today with the standard EXC switch.

Can the switch be dismantled or is it sealed? if its not sealed how about trying a stiffer spring behind the switches

Only to allow the lights to switch off, nowt to do with the sticking kill switch I believe.
Its a pity; its a nicer unit, and I like the kill switch where it is.....but having it stick on me on only my 4th time out on the bike.....it was replaced immediately.
I guess they'll get it right next year, but I don't like that my supposedly 'special edition' bike was used as the guinea pig for their poor first effort.
I think they should put their crappy try-out ideas on the scummy 'normal' EXC

Noting wrong with the old one. I just turn mine round so the kill switch is next to my thumb, never mess with the lights on the go anyway.

I had both my 2015 6 Days bikes kill switches replaced under warranty. Both replacements failed. Both replacements have been replaced with standard EXC kill switches. Just fit them upside down to have the kill button next to your thumb.
I had a look at taking a switch to bits but it's not really happening. They're just badly made junk. Not a lot to them. The stalk on the button jams in the hole in the case. Greasing the button makes no difference.

Thats the way I have run them for years. Makes perfect sense to do that.

Interesting about the replacements failing. I spoke to P&H yesterday and booked mine in for the 4CS fork recall. Also mentioned I'd replaced the kill switch with the standard EXC one. They said they'd change the Six Days one for me, but only if I re-fitted it to the bike (bunch of jobsworth bollocks, grumble grumble). I said I'd heard of replacements failing as well. They said they'd changed 5 under warranty, and that they hadn't had any of the replacements back in. They also said that the part number HAS changed, so KTM have done something.
I will try the new one out when I next ride; I do actually like the switch and prefer it to the EXC one.
But I'll be keeping that EXC one in my 'riding box' with the rest of my spares...
